By using the RAC of WA Road Guides and Year Books from 1910 - 1928 for the ‘personal biographical’ data on each brand of car in Perth and details on their owners, A. John has created an individual touch to recording many of the cars which have lived amongst us since the early days of motoring in the West.

More than just a survey, Torquing of Marques is the result of rigorous and extensive research of a high level, to ensure that each of the 800 firms retailing new passenger cars in the city of Perth has been identified and listed in its rightful place in the continuum of Western Australian motoring.
